On 28 September 2018, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and Minister of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs of the Commonwealth of Dominica Francine Baron signed the Agreement between the Government of the Russian Federation and the Government of the Commonwealth of Dominica on the waiver of visa requirements for mutual visits by citizens of the Russian Federation and citizens of the Commonwealth of Dominica
The agreement shall enter into force on 14 January 2019.
According to the Agreement citizens of the Russian Federation and citizens of the Commonwealth of Dominica holding valid passports, that serve as identification documents during their stay abroad, may enter, leave, pass in transit or stay in the territory of the other State without obtaining a visa for not more than 90 calendar days per each period of 180 days, starting from the date of the first.
Citizens of either State who intend to stay or reside in the territory of the other State for a period exceeding 90 days, or to take up employment or to engage in business activities in its territory shall obtain a visa at a diplomatic mission or consular post of the State of the other Party in accordance with the legislation of the receiving State.
